The Truth about Flawless Makeup
First, let’s be real how many times have you read a post talking about flawless makeup?
A bunch of times I bet - well, this is my first blog and one thing about me is that I am completely 100% real when it comes to makeup and all things beauty.
Let’s get straight to the main topic - the flawless makeup:
To be honest, there’s really no such thing as the perfect flawless makeup, all humans have texture on their skin (unless you follow the korean skincare beauty then you’re basically perfect) but even if you have the best skincare routine and never had a pimple in your life, I am sure there have been times that your makeup is not as flawless as you thought it would be.
There’s a few things you can add onto your self-care routine that will benefit how you makeup will look and last throughout the day. The ONLY way you can do this is if you know you skin type, yes, we all have a skin type and probably one of the main reason why your makeup looks cakey. BECAUSE, you do not know your skin is oily and you’ve been purchasing the wrong beauty products.
ALWAYS, and I repeat, always (please) start with a fresh clean face. Ok, I understand you went out with the girls last night, now you have a brunch date and you rather save yourself time. But would you rather look clean and fresh or look like you just came back from Jersey Shore partying with Jwow and Snookie (so fun I bet). Well, if you chose clean and fresh then welcome to the healing self-care girly era because that’s what we are here for 🥹🫶🏻
Now, when it comes to choosing the correct shade of foundation, it's essential to consider several factors to achieve a flawless look. Begin by determining your undertone - whether you have warm, cool, or neutral undertones.
Warm undertones are indicated by hints of yellow, peach, or golden hues in your skin. For those with warm undertones, foundations with matching yellow or golden tones are most flattering.
Cool undertones typically manifest as pink, red, or blue undertones in the skin. If you have cool undertones, opt for foundations with pink or rosy undertones for a seamless blend.
Neutral undertones exhibit a mix of warm and cool tones, and individuals with neutral undertones can usually wear a range of shades that are neither too yellow nor too pink.
FINALLY at last I am sure all of you know this but let me say that BLENDING IS KEY! 🔑🔑
Blending makeup with the correct tools is essential to achieving a flawless finish. Using the right tools, such as makeup brushes and blenders, ensures that products are seamlessly blended into the skin, preventing any harsh lines or uneven application. Proper blending helps the makeup look more natural and polished, enhancing the overall appearance. It also allows for better product distribution, making your makeup last longer throughout the day. So please, invest in the right tools (even if they are from SHEIN - thats ok!) and take your the time to blend your makeup properly, only you (or me as your makeup artist) can enhance the effectiveness of beauty products and elevate your makeup routine.
